Bridal Budget

You're Engaged!

You’re engaged! Congratulations!

After you’ve told all your friends and family the great news and stared at the ring all day, it’s time to dream about the wedding. You’ll go on Pinterest® to pin your favorite photos and start looking for a venue. A great way to get started is to find a Wedding Checklist and start setting your budget. Here’s a sample from The Knot.

Here at Event Décor & More we have some advice for you when you start planning for your wedding.

We’ve had many brides come in at different parts of their planning process and have learned when the best time to start planning your decorations for the big day. The best time to come in to the store is after you’ve found your venue. Once you’ve decided on the venue and know what all is included, you can start looking for ways to decorate the place and personalize it to your style. You can come in to our store to get some inspiration from our decoration and we can create a quote for you to help with your budgeting. It’s best to put down a deposit on your rentals as soon as possible as this guarantees the items will be reserved for your wedding day. You don’t have to worry though, even after the deposit we can adjust to your guest list and can change things around.

We partner with numerous DIY brides who understand that renting can save them time and effort.

DIY is a great idea and can be a way to save money. However, you need to weigh the cost as sometimes the materials and time spent creating weighs more than renting.

You don’t have to worry though, even after the deposit we can adjust to your guest list and can change things around.

DIY is a great way to add your personal touch to the wedding and infuse the personality of you and your fiancé(e)’s.

Budgeting brides don’t realize the impact of their decor and they shortchange their entire wedding on by spending too much too fast.

The first few months can easily go through the budget with the cost of the venue and of the wedding dress. From then on, they are cutting back costs on using less flowers and less decorations. What you need to remember is that all the gorgeous wedding photos on Pinterest are using expensive decorations. Articles and blogs these days say the guests only remember the food at a wedding, but the presentation is just as important. All those celebrity weddings you see on Instagram? Do you see photos of the food? Or do you see all the guests raving about the gorgeous decorations? We want you to remember about decoration rentals when budgeting for your wedding.

We want every bride to have their dream wedding and we will work with you to achieve it.

We love working with brides who are looking to create something they’ve seen in magazines and online: specialty fabrics, ceiling drape for venues and tents, decorated canopies and tents, and more. Therefore, if you can dream it we will do our best to find it, make it, or build it. Congratulations again on your engagement and we hope you’ll stop by soon to plan your big day! Be sure to check out some of our past weddings we’ve decorated for some inspiration.
